Low-carbon heritage retrofit
We have fitted air and ground source heat pumps to Grade I cathedrals, Landmark Trust gatehouses and National Trust farmhouses. The work has to cut carbon without harming the historic fabric.

The engineering is the easy part. The hard part is getting pipework under a limestone floor without losing a tile, or insulating a solid wall without trapping moisture. That is conservation work, so we treat it as conservation work.
We combine heat pumps with underfloor heating under historic floors, insulated lime plasters, slimline double or bespoke secondary glazing, and a full mechanical and electrical installation where it is needed.
What we do
- Air source heat pumps
- Ground source heat pumps
- Underfloor heating under historic floors
- Insulated lime plasters
- Slimline and secondary glazing
- Full M&E, sprinklers and fire detection
