Keeping the weather out
Roofing & leadwork
Most of the damage to a historic building starts at roof level. We strip, repair and re-cover church and country house roofs under full temporary roofs, so the building stays dry while we work.

We re-slate in new Burlington slate or relay the existing stone slates, form timber gutters to correct falls and dress them in Code 8 lead. We also repair the structural timbers underneath: wall plates, spars and gutter bottoms.
Where water has nowhere to go, we give it somewhere: lead hoppers, cast iron downpipes and secret gutters, discharging to new soakaways.
What we do
- Temporary roofs and scaffold design
- Burlington and stone slate roofing
- Code 8 leadwork, gutters and valleys
- Secret gutters and stainless gutter bottoms
- Structural roof timber repairs
- Cast iron rainwater goods
